DIY: Bliss Lemon + Sage Body Scrub

I'm a huge fan of Bliss products. Everything in their line from their body scrubs to hand lotions smells absolutely scrumptious. One of my favorites is their Lemon + Sage Body Scrub - the zing of citrus smells delicious and is super refreshing while the scrub itself leaves my skin baby-soft when I step out of the shower.

Unfortunately, Bliss products are pretty expensive. A 12-oz jar of this body scrub costs $36 and doesn't last very long at all if you use it a few times a week. So here's a DIY guide for making your own Bliss body scrub with ingredients right out of your kitchen. Plus, this all-natural homemade scrub smells and works just as amazing and takes only minutes to make.

Ingredients:

- 1/2 cup light brown sugar

- 1/3 cup olive oil (preferably organic)

- Juice & pulp of 2 fresh lemons

- 2 teaspoons of sage leaves

- 15 drops of orange essential oil

- 1 empty container

Instructions:
  1. Start off with 1/2 cup of light brown sugar and 1/3 cup of organic olive oil in a mixing bowl.
  2. Squeeze in the juice of two fresh lemons and throw in the chopped-up lemon pulps for some added texture.
  3. Toss in 2 teaspoons of finely-minced sage leaves.
  4. Add 15 drops of orange essential oil for some extra citrus zest (can be  replaced with other citrus-y essential oils like lemon, lime, bergamot,  neroli, etc).
  5. Mix everything together and pour the mixture into a container with a lid.
In the shower, scoop a generous amount of the mixture and apply the scrub all over your body for a refreshing exfoliation. Enjoy!
